resolveReleaseTargetSha(options): string

Resolves the commit a release run is allowed to publish.

Parameters

options

GitHub event and requested release target.

eventName

string

Event that started the workflow.

requestedSha

string | undefined

Explicit target supplied by the caller.

toolOnly?

boolean = false

Whether this is a manual npm recovery run.

workflowSha

string

Commit checked out by the workflow run.

Returns

string

The exact commit whose releases may be published.

Throws

When the workflow or requested target is not a full commit SHA or the event is invalid.
